Melvern--Yvonne Petrechko, 65, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on August 11, 1954 in Olathe, Kansas, the daughter of Herbert and Sarah Poe Grimes.
Yvonne had lived near Bonner Springs and graduated from DeSoto High School. She lived in Lebo for a number of years and had been in Melvern for the last year and a half. She had worked for Southwestern Bell and the AT&T as an operator.
Yvonne was married to James Petrechko on March 19, 1993 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband James on May 15, 2016; by her parents, Herbert and Sarah; and by a sister, Donna Marin.
Yvonne is survived by her two daughters, Amy Aldrich of Bonner Springs and Dani Myrick of Lebo; her seven grandchildren, Sara, Hannah, Grace, Silas, Samantha, Daniel and Alyssa; her two step daughters, Emily Oliver of Blue Springs, Missouri and Katy Anderson of Independence, Missouri; her brother, Herbert Grimes of Hannibal, Missouri; and her three sisters, Judy Letzig of Raymore, Missouri, Connie Park of Overland Park and Bobbie Reeves of Melvern.
Graveside services for Yvonne will be at 11:00am on Monday, August 26 at the Pleasant View Cemetery, east of Melvern. Memorial contributions may be made to Interim Hospice or Home Instead, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS. 66451.
