Obituary

Osage City - William Eugene Bradley, 76, passed away on January 10, 2025, at Osage Nursing Center in Osage City, Kansas. He was born on September 5, 1948, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Thomas and Leola (Vosseller) Bradley.

Bill grew up and lived on the family farm north of Melvern and had been in Osage City for the last 7 years. He graduated from Melvern High School in 1966

Bill was a farmer and stockman, grew hay, which he supplied to the American Royal. He worked for the Melvern COOP and Lyndon Lumber and then worked for Wal-Mart Distribution in Ottawa. He served in the United States Army Reserve. He grew up in 4-H and became a Leader in Melvern Hi-Line 4-H, was a member of the Melvern Sunflower Fair Board, the Melvern Fire Department and the Melvern United Methodist Church.

On June 23, 1975, Bill was united in marriage to Karen Heilman in Melvern. To this union two children were born, Robbie and Jeannie. They later divorced.

Bill was preceded in death by his Dad and Mom, Thomas and Leola.

Bill is survived by his two children Robbie (Anna) Bradley of Melvern and Jeannie (Ryan) Fine of Melvern; his brother, Tom (Judy) Bradley of Blue Mound; his four grandchildren, Bradley Tyler, Kelsey (Dakota) Jackson, Grace Bradley and Hailey Fine; and his great-granddaughter, Saige Jackson.

A Celebration of Life for Bill will be held on Thursday, January 23 from 5:00 to 7:30pm at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Inurnment in Melvern Cemetery will be at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Bill may be made to Elara Hospice or the Melvern 4-H Club, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS 66451.
