Topeka--Virgie Dee Sade, 92, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Manor Care in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on March 21, 1924 in Clements, Kansas the daughter of Florus and Jessie Harlan Talkington.

Virgie had lived in El Dorado and Emporia and had been in Topeka for the last 30 years.

She was a Homemaker most of her life, had provided cleaning services for commercial offices and during World War II she was an Aircraft Riveter in Wichita. She had been a member of the Emporia Assembly of God.

Virgie was married to Charles Eggens, they later divorced. She married Kenneth Sade in November of 1950 in El Dorado, Kansas.

Virgie was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth on August 15, 2001; by her parents, Florus and Jessie; by three brothers, Bud, Junior and Bobby Talkington; and by five sisters, Dorothy Parsons, Flora Casper, Dora Faunce, Ethel Scheve and Edna Dwire; a great-granddaughter and a great-grandson.

Virgie is survived by her daughter, Carletta Barker (Larry Middleton) of Osage City; a brother, Gary Talkington of El Dorado; a sister, Margaret Holloman of Michigan Valley; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Virgie will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, April 7 at the Sunset Lawn Cemetery in El Dorado. Virgie will lie in state from 3:00 to 7:00pm on Wednesday at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon.
