Topeka - Victor F. Rosetta, Jr., passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Autumn Home Plus in Topeka, Kansas. He was born on June 14, 1935, to Victor Rosetta, Sr. and Mae Kinney in Osage City, Kansas.

Victor was raised on the family farm near Osage City, and he graduated from Osage City High School in 1953.

After high school, Vic and five friends enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served until 1957 as an Airman First Class. In 1959 Vic moved to Topeka and started working for the Santa Fe Railroad as a Mobile Maintenance Supervisor. After his retirement, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of living out his retired life on Table Rock Lake in Kimberling City, Missouri.

On December 27, 1954, Vic was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Geraldine Viles. To this union two children were born, Victor III and Ramona.

Vic was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Mae; by his brother Fred; his two sisters, Marjorie and Mary; and by his step granddaughter, Stacy Garlock.

Vic is survived by his wife, Geraldine, of nearly 70 years; by his son, Victor Rosetta III and wife Terry of Springfield, Missouri; by his daughter, Ramona Hoefer and husband Greg of Topeka; his two grandchildren, Steven (Ashley) Rosetta and Stephanie (Evan) Johnson; his two step grandchildren, Bryan McDonald and Heather Morton; four great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; his brother, John (Kathy) Rosetta; his sister in law, Mary Rosetta; his brother in law, Dennis Colson; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Vic will be at 11:00am on Friday, November 22 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Osage City. Military honors by the United States Air Force. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions to Autumn Home Plus, attn Brittany, 747 NW Walnut Lane, Topeka, KS 66617.
