Obituary

Carbondale - Ursula Friedel Toni Landis, 87, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Brookside Retirement Community in Overbrook, Kansas. She was born on July 5, 1934 in Stettin, Germany, the daughter of Fritz and Friedel (Mesow) Krueger.
Ursula grew up in Germany and came to the United States in 1958, she became a naturalized citizen on March 23, 2004. She had lived near Carbondale for over 50 years.
Ursula worked as a cleaning lady for several people through the years. She was a member of the Grace Chapel in Carbondale, where she was a part of Bible Study and she was always there to help with any function in the church.
Ursula was united in marriage to William Tell Landis, Jr. on February 17, 1961 in St. Marys, Kansas  They later divorced.
Ursula was preceded in death by her son, William Tell Landis IV; by her parents, Fritz and Friedel; and by her sister, Christel (Krueger) Boozer.
Ursula is survived by her three children, Ruby Arlene Langley, Richard Neal Landis and Betty Diane Gulliver; four grandsons and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Ursula will be at 1:30pm on Thursday, October 7 at the Grace Chapel in Carbondale. Burial will follow at Shawnee Center Cemetery near Wakarusa. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Chapel or Brookside Retirement Community, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS. 66451.
