Melvern - Tonya (Irey) Clark, 49, lost her life in southern California as she was celebrating her birthday on August 23, 2023. She was born on August 23, 1974, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Ron and Diana (Weiler) Irey.

Tonya grew up in Melvern and graduated from Marias des Cygnes High School in 1992. She had lived in Arizona and had just moved to California to start her dream job as a Real Estate Agent.

Tonya was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jon Irey; her paternal grandparents, John and Cora Irey and her maternal grandfather, Jon Weiler.

Tonya is survived by her parents, Ron and Diana of Melvern; her three beautiful children, Taylor (Chance) Cordell of Gardner, Taran Clark of Albany, Oregon and Landon Bloomfield of Melvern; her granddaughter, Joise Cordell of Gardner; her partner, Brian Stoner of California; her maternal grandmother, Arlene Weiler of Topeka; her two brothers, Ron Irey of Topeka and Brian Irey of Melvern; her half brother, David Mullinix of Texas; her three nephews, Trey, Zac and Brennan; uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Memorial services for Tonya will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, October 5, at the Melvern United Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow at the Waverly Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00pm on Wednesday at the church.
