Colony--Terry Ellis, 47, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 in Topeka, Kansas.  He was born on August 25, 1970 In Iola, Kansas.
Terry had lived in Iola, but had lived most of his life in Colony.
Terry graduated from Crest High School in 1988.  He had owned and operated Williams Monuments in Iola for several years.  Terry was also an avid and accomplished horse puller, participating at many area fairs.
Terry was preceded in death by his Dad, Jerry Ellis in 1986.
Terry is survived by his two children, Haley Ellis (Nathan Brown) of Colony and Brock Ellis (Madison Covey) of Pittsburg; his girlfriend, Jessica Lewis of Colony; her children, Cheyenne Golden of Highland, Devri Bellos, Jeslyn Bellos and Daniel Bellos, all of Independence, Missouri; his brother, Curtis (Roberta) Ellis of Iola; his three sisters, Kathy Ellis (Bryan Bollinger), Jerri Ellis of Humboldt and Karen Ellis of Salem, Missouri; his dog, Tank; his granddog, Jordy; and many extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Terry will be held on Saturday, October 14 from 1:00 to 3:00pm at the High Point Cowboy Church in Colony. Inurnment at the Colony Cemetery will follow.
