Melvern - Tammy Jo Miller, 62, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at the Coffey County Hospital in Burlington, Kansas. She was born on May 3, 1960, in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Myron and Wanda (Rice) Miller.

Tammy had lived in the Melvern community most of her life. She graduated from Melvern High School in 1978.

Tammy worked as an insurance underwriter for many years. She enjoyed traveling, music concerts and raising her dog.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Myron and Wanda; and her sister, Kathleen Miller.

Tammy is survived by her sister, Deborah Miller-Steinbock of Topeka; her two brothers, Richard (Nancy) Miller of Melvern and Martin (Sara) Miller of Columbus, Nebraska; her son, James Miller; her grandson, Wyatt Miller; her great-grandson, Theo Neal Miller; several nieces and nephews and friends.

Memorial services for Tammy will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 10 at the Feltner Funeral Home in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until service time. Inurnment will be in the Melvern Cemetery at a later date.
