Lyndon--Shirley (Ogle) Bronson, 79, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on February23, 1936 in Osage County, Kansas, the daughter of Lewis and Merle Myrick Ogle.
Shirley had lived in the Michigan Valley, Vassar and Lyndon communities all of her life. She graduated from Lyndon High School in 1954. She was a Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Avon Representative.
On March 6, 1955 Shirley was married to Jack Bronson in Lyndon. To this union five children were born.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Jack on February 10, 2010; her parents, her brother, Ben Ogle; and her sister, Irene Tucker.
Shirley is survived by her three sons, Michael (Pam) Bronson of Lyndon, Kelly (Christina) Bronson of Vassar and Jeff (Glenda) Bronson of Lyndon; her two daughters, Cathy (David) Wilson of Lyndon and Robin Hull of Carbondale; her sister, Lois English of Topeka; her sixteen grandchildren, Heath (Melissa) Brecheisen, Blake (Jody) Wilson, Hannah Wilson, Travis (Ashley) Plantz, Erica Williams (Robert), Jackie Lira (TJ), Rebecca Bronson, Katie Bronson (Michael), Philip Lira (Becky), Lucas (Glenna) Bronson, Tanner Lira, John Michael Hull, Nicolas Hull, Kelsey Bronson, Ashley Bronson and Rachel Bronson (Trynt); and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Shirley will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday, December 15 at the Mt. Pleasant Community Church southeast of Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00pm on Monday, December 14 in the old sanctuary at the church. Burial will be in the Vassar Cemetery.
