Obituary

Osage City - Shirley Naydeen Bell, 75, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025, at her home in Osage City, Kansas. She was born on February 5, 1950, on the family farm near Quenemo, Kansas, the third daughter of William Harold and Frankie Jeanne (Shelley) Butts.
Naydeen, as all knew her, grew up in Quenemo and graduated from Quenemo High School in 1968. She had lived in Quenemo until moving to Osage City several years ago.
Naydeen had worked at HD Lee in Ottawa, for Filter Service of Kansas in Lyndon and also for ECKAN in Osage City.
Naydeen was married to George Bell, and to this union three sons were born, J​im, Jeff and Harold. Naydeen and George later divorced.
Naydeen was preceded in death by her parents, William and Jeanne; and by a sister, Pat Everett.
Naydeen is survived by her three sons, J​im (Elizabeth) Bell of Chapman, Jeff (Echo) Bell of Quenemo and Harold (Lucinda) Bell of Ottawa; her sister, Noreen (Dort) Markham of Vassar; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Naydeen will be held at 10:00am on ​Friday, July 18, at the Michigan Valley Community Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00pm on Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Valley Community Church. Online condolences for the family may be left at feltnerfuneralhome.com.
