Osage City - Sharon Josephine Stromgren, 83, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Osage Nursing Center in Osage City, Kansas. She was born on January 16, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Ethel Ruth (Jackson) Watson.

Sharon graduated from Osage City Rural High School in 1959. She had lived in and around Osage City all of her life.

On February 23, 1963, Sharon was united in marriage to Dale Stromgren in Osage City. To this union four children were born, Scott, Gary, Mark and Shirley. Sharon and Dale enjoyed over 61 years together.

Sharon was a full time homemaker and she loved being a farmer's wife and a mother.

Sharon was preceded in death by her son, Mark Stromgren on August 3, 2022; her daughter in law, Sharon Bryson-Stromgren; her parents, Robert and Ruth; and by three of her brothers, Richard Watson, James Watson and Charlie Watson.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Dale Stromgren of the home; her three children, Scott Stromgren, Gary (Marsha) Stromgren and Shirley (Tyrel) Buchmeier, all of Osage City; her sister, Regina Henry of DeSoto, Texas; her brother, John (DeAnn) Watson of Osage City; her ten grandchildren, Jessie Stromgren, Megan (Dylan) Stromgren, Brayton Stromgren, Walker Stromgren, Kyle (Anne) Stromgren, Blake Stromgren, Austin (Chloe) Stromgren, Susan Stromgren, Tyler (Sarah) Hanna and Aaron Hanna; and five great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Madlynn, Myles, Sterling and Stetson.

Graveside memorial services for Sharon will be held on Tuesday, August 27, at 10:30am at the Osage City Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Sharon may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS 66451.
