Quenemo - Scott Wayne McCollom, 62, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at his home in Quenemo, Kansas. He was born on August 6, 1963, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Larry and Vivian (Mooney) McCollom.

Scott had grown up in Iowa and had lived in Kansas City, Kansas until moving to Quenemo.

Scott had worked as a manager for Hy-Vee grocery stores until health issues forced him to retire.

On April 7, 2001, Scott was united in marriage to Kelly Brown in Kansas City, Kansas.

Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian; and by a brother, David McCollom.

Scott is survived by his wife, Kelly of 24 years; his father, Larry of Waterloo, Iowa; his three daughters, Loren (Bryan) Brantley of Tampa, Florida; Kaitlin (Tyton) Burton of Leroy; and Brianna Detwiler of Quenemo; by his two sisters, Lea Ann (Steven) Bohlen of Hudson, Florida and Wendy Potter of Waterloo, Iowa; by his brother-in-law, Freddy Brown of Lyndon; by his brother, Jay Potter of Anamosa, Iowa; by his four grandchildren, Leah Burton, Vivianne Brantley, Tracer Burton and Joel Bowers; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Scott will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 26 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Cremation will follow services. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
