Quenemo - Scott Daniel Cowdin, 47, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at his home in Quenemo, Kansas. He was born on March 31, 1976, in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Danny Michael and Ginger Lea (Thornbrugh) Cowdin.

Scott graduated from Marais des Cygnes Valley High School in 1994. He had worked as a painter for several years with his father and grandfather. He was a parts manager for Napa Parts Store in Ottawa and had worked at other parts stores in Ottawa as well. His interests were playing his guitar, fishing and working on cars with his father.

Scott was married to Jessica Short on June 27, 2012 in Quenemo.

Scott was preceded in death by his son, Roudie Michael Cowdin; his maternal grandparents, Cloyce and June (Heilmann) Thornbrugh; his paternal grandparents, Danny and Thelma (Meeks) Cowdin; and in laws, Brad and Linda Short.

Scott is survived by his wife, Jessica of the home; and his parents, Michael and Ginger Cowdin of Quenemo.

Scott was a great husband, son and friend. He leaves a gaping hole in our hearts and an emptiness in our lives and homes.

Funeral services for Scott will be at 11:00am on Thursday, June 1, at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
