Vassar - Sandra L. Casey, 74, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on July 25, 1947 in Lawrence, Kansas, the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth (Edmonds) Duncan.

Sandy grew up in Perry and had lived near Vassar since 2009.

Sandy worked as a secretary for Maupintour, and Harry McClure for several years before working and retiring from Heetco in Lawrence. She had attended the Christian Church in Perry.

Sandy was united in marriage to Don Casey on October 28, 1989 in Lawrence.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Elizabeth.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Don of the home; her two children, Chrissy (Jim Cunningham) Immenschuh of Tonganoxie and Scott Immenschuh of Lawrence; her three step children, Cary Casey of Scranton, Sherry (Bruce) Engelman of Buffalo and Clarissa Meek of Osage City; her two brothers, Wayne Duncan of Topeka and Bruce Duncan of Olathe; her sister, Rhonda Rowell of Lawrence; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Sandy will be at 11:00am on Friday, October 8 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Burial will follow at the Alpine Cemetery near Melvern Lake. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the chapel.
