Rosabelle "Petie" R. (Herr) Harris, 92 of Scranton, Kansas departed this life on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the Aldersgate Village in Topeka, Kansas. She was born December 13, 1928 in Butler, South Dakota the daughter of William Fredrick and Diana (Regneir) Herr. Petie graduated from high school in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

On June 14, 1958 at the base chapel at Forbes Field Air Force Base in Topeka, Kansas, Petie was united in marriage to Martin Loyd Harris. They shared over twenty-seven years of marriage before Martin passed away on October 8, 1985.

Petie worked most of her life as a waitress and was employed at The Jayhawk Hotel, The Lounge, Holiday Inn South and retired from the Coyote Canyon.

Survivors include her son, Kenneth Harris of Burlingame, Kansas; stepchildren, Darlene Bogren (Neil) of Scranton, Kansas, Marion Harris of Carbondale, Kansas and Carroll Schooler (Ronnie) of Scranton, Kansas; sister, Elaine C. Allen of Meriden, Kansas; brother, Joseph W. Herr of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren & six great-great grandchildren.

Petie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin; daughter, Cynthia Booth (2017); stepson, Martin Leigh Harris (1977);  step grandson, Brian Harris Smith (2019); sisters, Florence M. Burt, Olive Hogge, Eloise H. Crumrine, Ione T. Williams, an infant sister Alma Ann Herr; and a brother, Lawrence Herr.

Memorial graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Scranton Cemetery in Scranton, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be to the Papan's Landing or to the Meals on Wheels c/o Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, Kansas 66451.
