Obituary

Ronald Bennie Oswald, 87, of Lyndon passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.
He was born June 23, 1929 at Beemer, Nebraska the son of Ben and Verna Oswald.
Ron was a Marine Veteran and served during the Korean War. He was discharged in 1953 as a Staff Sergeant.
Ron was employed by KCPL for 35 years and retired as a lead lineman in 1992. He lived on a farm south of Lyndon and was a stockman for over 40 years. Ron and his wife Rosemary were active in square dancing and belonged to several area clubs. He was a member of the Lyndon United Methodist Church. He loved his family, sports, and camping.
Ron married Rosemary Clevenger in 1954, she survives of the home. He is preceded in death by this parents, a brother Russell, and grandchildren Megan Oswald and Kyle Oswald. He is also survived by his sons Russ Oswald (Sherry), Lebo; Rick Oswald (Polly), Wamego; Rod Oswald (Sheri), Osage City; and daughter Rhonda Bloom (Ken), Pittsburg. Grandchildren; Caleb Oswald, Rylie Oswald, Tyler Oswald, Rachel DeCagna, Jessica Bloom, and Josh Oswald.
Services will be 10;00 a.m. Saturday October 8, 2016 at the Lyndon United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Friday October 7 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel where the family will greet friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m.. Memorials may be made to the Lyndon United Methodist Church can be sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home at 818 Topeka Ave. Lyndon, Ks 66451.?
