Osage City--Robert "Bob" Pierson, 73, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Osage Nursing Manor. He was born on October 18, 1944 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Alfred and Vera Gillette Pierson.
Bob grew up in Omaha and attended schools there. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1967 aboard the USS Newport News in Norfolk, VA. He worked for General Tire in Topeka and then for Plumbing by Carlson until his retirement in 2004.
On September 11, 1965, Bob was married to Sharon Jean Kautz in Elizabeth City, N.C.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kent Pierson and Jerald Pierson.
Bob is survived by his wife Sharon; his two children, Shaun (Mike) Pierson-Ordonez of Osage City and Shane (Toni) Pierson of Topeka; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Bob was cremated and family and friends will gather from 6:30 to 8:00pm on Monday, April 16 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon.
