Overbrook- Phillip Michael Clark, 81, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Brookside Retirement Community in Overbrook, Kansas. He was born on August 30, 1942, in Lakeland Florida, the son of Worth and Gladys (Ryles) Clark.
Phillip had grown up in Lakeland Florida and had lived in St. Charles, Missouri, and in Lyndon and Scranton Kansas.
Phillip had served in the United States Air Force. He had worked most of his life as a Meat cutter in grocery stores and also worked as a Cook.
On February 14, 1966, Phillip was united in marriage to Lavern Crawford in Valdosta, Georgia.
Phillip was preceded in death by his wife, Lavern on May 21, 2020; and by his parents, Worth and Gladys.
Phillip is survived by his four children, Deronda Cain of Tebbetts Missouri, Verita Stumpe of St. Peters, Missouri, Saxby Mickler of Scranton, Kansas and Sheila Pate of Florida; His brother, Carl Clark of Palmer Alaska; his five sisters, Karen Squires of Overland, Missouri, Kathy Bowles of Lonedell Lakes, Missouri, Connie Sharrett of Lakeland Florida, Donna Telesco of Lakeland, Florida, Glynis Marvin of Georgia, and his four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Phillip will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 11th, at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Phillip Clark Memorial Fund (to be designated for the VA), sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, Kansas 66451.
