Melvern--Pauline Arb, 85, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Brewster Place in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on June 29, 1929 in Franklin County on the family farm, the daughter of Henry and Carrie Marks Mason.
Pauline grew up in the Chippewa Hills area of Franklin County and had lived in Melvern for over 60 years.
Pauline had worked at Beto Junction as a cashier, Lyndon Hilltop Nursing Home, was a Homemaker while her kids were in school and operated Arb Truck Line with her husband for over 30 years. She was a member of the Melvern United Methodist Church, the U.M.W. and the V.F.W. Auxillary #6406.
Pauline was married to Earl Dean Arb on March 15,1953 in Ottawa. Earl Dean preceded her in death on October 22,1985. She married Orville Arb in February 20,1993 in Melvern. Orville preceded her in death on December 10,1999. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Henry Mason, Jr., William Mason, Louis Mason and Charles Mason and 2 grandsons Jeffery Dean Arb, Corey Arb.
Pauline is survived by her two children, Rick Arb of Melvern and Deanna (Mark) Heilmann of Topeka; Orville's children, Tom (JoAnne) Arb of Melvern, Pam (Clark) Gillard of Melvern ,Jerry (Jackie) Arb of Overbrook and Steve (Melinda) Arb of Melvern; her two brothers, Robert (Judy) Mason of Burlington and Elmer Mason of Ottawa; her three sisters, Shirley (Vince) Bulgarelli of Ottawa, Mabel (James) Lee of Bluff-Dale, Texas and Ella Mae Wynn of Ottawa; fourteen grandchildren, Mandi Adams, Brandon Heilmann, Tara Habiger, Crystal Arb, Travis Arb, Lacie Arb, Susan Lacey, Paula Anderson, Michelle Gillard, Angie Criss, Anissa Arb, Toni Arb, Nicole Arb and Tyler Arb; twenty great-grandchildren; and her aunt Betty (Pete) Sumner of Garnett.
Funeral services for Pauline will be at 11:00am on Saturday, April 4 at the Melvern United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Melvern Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00pm on Friday at the church.
