Overbrook--Mildred Anderson, 99, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Brookside Retirement Community in Overbrook, Kansas. She was born on March 2, 1916 on the family farm near Lyndon, the daughter of Clarence and Minnie Paulsen Franklin.
Mildred graduated from Melvern high school and had lived in Osage County all of her life. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Cross Road Community Church of Scranton.
On April 4, 1942 Mildred was married to Roy Anderson in Ottawa. Roy preceded her in death on May 23, 1972 and she was preceded in death by her brother, Gene Franklin on May 22, 1971.
Mildred is survived by her two sons, Gaylord (Sue) Anderson of Carbondale and Doug (Deanna) Anderson of Scranton; four grandchildren Nels Anderson, Lori Anderson, Lance Anderson, Heidi Anderson, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mildred will be at 11:30am on Saturday, April 11 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon's International, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS. 66451.
