Topeka--Milan Harvey Knight, 80, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at his home in Topeka, Kansas.  He was born on November 5, 1936 in Michigan Valley, Kansas, the son of Milan and Letha Rose Knight.
Harvey grew up in Quenemo, where he graduated from Quenemo High School in 1954.  He attended Emporia State University and Washburn University.  He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and then joined the United States Army from 1959 to 1962.  He attended Clark Business School in Topeka and then was an Office Manager for Dick Handy Motors in Emporia.  He then worked as an accounting department manager for Famous Brands until his retirement.
On August 19, 1961 Harvey married Shirley Pinkston in Quenemo.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Milan and Letha and by a sister, Anna Rose Baber.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Shirley of the home; his son, Dennis (Michel) Knight of Manhattan; his six siblings, Joyce Long of Lawrence, Robert (Linda) Knight of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Ronald (Connie) Knight of Ottawa, Kaye (Bob) Counts of Victorville, California, Cheryl (Mike) Weiss of Ft. Worth, Texas and Debra (Larry) Harris of Ottawa; and his two granddaughters, Veronica and Courtney.
Funeral services for Harvey will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, June 30 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon.  The family will receive friends from noon until service time.  Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Pomona.  Memorial contributions for Harvey may be made to Midland Hospice, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS. 66451.
