Lyndon - Melissa Lynn (Thomas) Medlen, 47, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 28, 2025, at her home in Lyndon, Kansas. She was born on August 17, 1977, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Jamie Landis and Ellwood Thomas, Jr.

Melissa had grown up in Pennsylvania, had lived near Cody, Wyoming and had just lived in Lyndon for the last year.

Melissa worked as a Benefits Manager for the Postal Service and had recently started working for military veterans benefits.

Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Ellwood.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Ben, of the home; her mother, Jamie Keener and her stepfather, Kurt Keener; her brother, Tim (Kari) Thomas; a niece, Toni (Tim) Thomas; two great nieces and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services for Melissa will be at 7:00pm on Monday, April 7, at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until service time. Cremation will follow services.
