Matthew Lee Criss, 39, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Stormont Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka, Kansas.
Funeral services for Matt are planned for 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2015, at the Melvern United Methodist Church. A viewing is set to begin 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Melvern Cemetery.
Matt was born Oct. 26, 1975, in Emporia, Kansas, the son of Robert and Nancy (Miller) Criss.
As a farmer and a heavy equipment operator, Matt was a jack of all trades and could do and fix almost anything. Matt loved to spend time with his family and friends that he valued and cherished dearly. Matt immensely enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, mudding, and working in his shop with his family and friends. Matt never knew a stranger and was always there to provide a helping and giving hand to anyone that needed it.
Matt was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy. He is survived by his faithful and devoted wife, Angie Criss of the home in Melvern; children Corey, Brock, and Mariah, father Robert, and brother K.B. Matt is also survived by nephews, extended family, and a host of dear friends who loved him and will miss him greatly.
