Mary (Bednar) Daugherty, 99, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at her home in Pomona Kansas. She was born in Czechoslovakia September 30th, 1925, the daughter of Stephen and Victoria Bednar.

She worked in the health care industry most of her life as a Nurse's Aide.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Dick Daugherty; by a son, Steven George; and by a daughter, Bonita Reedy; by her parents Stephen and Victoria Bednar; and by her sister Ann.

She is survived by her two sons, William George and wife Tish of Chanute and Gregory Elpers and wife Cathy of Garden Plains; her two daughters, Nancy Karr and husband Bill of Vassar and Simone Daugherty of Lawrence; her sister, Liz Wilson of St. Alberta, Canada; her brother, John Bednar of Saloons, Vancouver British Columbia; her thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

She will be missed by all.

Cremation has taken place and at Mary's request, no services are planned.
