Marvin Willyard,88, of Topeka, Ks. passed away at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
Marvin was born October 15,1927 in Manhattan, Ks the son of Scott Edward and Mary Margaret McCall Willyard.
As a young man Marvin worked in a bakery, after school, which became his vocation later. In 1944 he joined the Navy. After his discharge, he started in the bakery business and was a baker until his retirement. He and his wife Marjie lived in the Olivet area for the last 35 years.
On April 24, 1948 Marvin married Marjie Conable in Pawnee, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marjie on September 23,2014; two daughters Marva Willyard November 30,1999; and Claudia Willyard February 15,2011; a son-in-law Warren Cox; two brothers Eddie and Howard; and a sister Lucille.
He is survived by his son Marvin(Michelle) Willyard of Manhattan; a daughter Robin Cox of Topeka; one brother James of Texas; a sister Frances Vochatzer of Gardner; 5 grandchildren; and 9 great-children.
Services will be 11:00am Saturday March 19,2016 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel, family will greet friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at the Melvern cemetery.
