Melvern - Marlies Hayes, 78, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Brookside Retirement Community in Overbrook, Kansas. She was born on December 13, 1943, in Kiel, Germany, the daughter of Otto and Lotti (Lobbert) Sieg.
Lisa, as she was known to all, had lived most of her life in the Melvern community.
Lisa had worked as a shipping clerk for Jostens Printing in Topeka until her retirement. She had been a member of the Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church.
Lisa was married to Jerry Hogge, they later divorced, she then married Ray Wallace, he preceded her in death in 1992. She then married Melvin Hayes, he preceded her in death in 2003.
Lisa was also preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Lotti; and by her two sons, Raymond Lee Wallace and Dale Wallace.
Lisa is survived by three daughters, Jane (Gary) Kitt of Melvern, Suzan Ball (Steve Oestreicher) of Richmond and Dee (Brian) Burlew of Overbrook; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Lisa will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, August 20 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until service time.
