Marjorie Allen, 88, Lyndon, Ks. passed away, Monday May 11, 2015 at the Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. She was born September 29,1926 in Florence, Kansas the daughter of Ernest and Agnes Waner Seibel.
Marjorie spent her early years in Marion County.
On September 27, 1942, she was married to Irving Allen in Marion, Ks. They spent their early years farming in and around Peabody and Burns, Kansas. In 1948 they moved to northeast Osage county where they farmed until 1959, when they moved to Lyndon where they made their home.
Marjorie was a wife , a mother and a homemaker, she also worked 13 years as a cook in the cafeteria at USD 421 in Lyndon.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband Irving Oct. 24,1999; a daughter Patti Allen Feb.26,1999; a granddaughter, Carrie Allen in 1975; three brothers Ralph,Gerald,and James; and one sister Catherine. She is survived by two sons Bill (Kathy) Allen of Vassar, Kansas, John (Chelli) Allen of Centerville,Michigan; two daughters Judy Murphy of Lyndon, Kansas, Jackie (LeRoy) Shoblo of Loveland, Colorado; her brother Wayne (Claudia) Seibel of Columbia, South Carolina; her sister Marilyn (Phill) Adams of Halstead, Kansas; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Services for Marjorie will be Friday May 15, 2015 11:00 am at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Burial will be in the Lyndon Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday the family will greet friend from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the chapel. In Lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the American Heart Assoc. or The Breast Cancer Society and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home 818 Topeka Ave, Lyndon, Ks. 66451.
