Melvern-Marilyn Kendall, 89, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on November 3, 1930 in Freeport, Illinois, the daughter of Kline and Marion Johnston Bardell, Sr.

Marilyn had lived in Denver and North Glen, Colorado before moving to Melvern in 1976.

Marilyn had worked in communications for United Airlines, was a book keeper for several grain elevators and had been Postmaster at Melvern. She was a member of several card clubs around the Melvern Community.

On December 24, 1960, Marilyn was married to Alyn "Ike" Kendall in Denver, Colorado.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Ike on March 24, 2001; by her parents, Kline and Marion; and a brother, Kline Bardell, Jr.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Kyle Kendall and wife Patti of Denton, Texas; by her daughter, Rhonda Beatty and her husband Mark of Tecumseh; her brother, Kenneth Bardell of West Bend, Wisconsin; five step grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Marilyn will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 29 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm till service time at the chapel.
