Topeka--Margaret House, 91, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at her home in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on March 17, 1927 in Blytheville, Arkansas, the daughter of Albert and Margaret Golden Shearer. Margaret had lived in the Vassar, Lyndon and Topeka communities since 1964. Margaret was an owner a bookkeeper for Washburn Optical and also worked as a seamstress. She was a member of the Quivira Heights Church of Christ. On May 1, 1946, Margaret was married to Robert House in Pacific Grove, California. To this union three children were born. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Robert on March 10, 1999; and by her daughter, Kaye Fisher on October 10, 2006. Margaret is survived by her son, John House of Topeka; her daughter, Annette Lee of Prunedale, California; by her four grandchildren, Craig House, Amy Eneihen, Brooke Lee and Amy Wise; and six great-grandchildren. Memorial services for Margaret will be held at 11:00am on Monday, July 16 at the Quivira Heights Church of Christ in Topeka. The family will receive friends from 10:00am on Monday until service time.
