Overbrook - Marcina Lynn Wall, 62, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. Marcina Lynn was born March 22, 1959, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence Leroy Adolph Jr. and Dorothy Irene Tucker- Adolph. She was adopted in 1978 by her step father, Duane Lee White.
Marcina married Chris Leroy Hulsopple June 8, 1974 and to this union a daughter was born, Kristina Lynn Hulsopple. They later divorced in Oct. 1976. Marcina Lynn Adolph-White and Merlin Jay Wall were united in marriage April 2, 1977, at the Baptist Church in Carbondale, KS. To this union three children were born. They made their home in Scranton, and later moved to Overbrook, where they remained until her death.
Marcina had been a member of the Scranton United Methodist Church, the National Wild Turkey Federation, Kaw Valley Turkey Chapter, and The Cherish Teddy Association. She attended the Osage City Elementary School for K-2nd grades. They moved to Scranton and she attended Scranton Elementary for 3rd -8th grades, and then attended Santa Fe Trail High School, where she received her GED in 1979. She attended Kaw Area Vocational Technical School and received a certificate for completing the Secretarial Office Education of General Office Clerk in May 1977. She also attended Topeka Technical College and graduated with a Computer Accounting degree in Oct 1990.
Marcina started her working career at Dean's Drive In as a short order cook and waitress in 1975. Then in 1976, she worked for The Ranch House at Four Corners and Social & Rehabilitation Services and then at MacMillian Publishing Company. In 1984 she worked for Dibbles IGA Bakery as a cake decorator, and in 1985 Resource Center for Independent Living. In 1990, Copy Center of Topeka till 2004. In 2004 Community Resource Council, 2005 Jerry's Thriftway and The Osage County Herald. In 2007 after having back surgery she was forced to retire.
Marcina was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Dorothy White; her daughter, Kristina Lynn Hulsopple; her grandson, Michael Prothe; and a brother in law, Michael Wall.
Marcina is survived by her husband, Merlin Wall of 44 years; her two sons, Matthew (Damaris)Wall, Topeka and Carl (Roxanna) Wall, Scranton; her daughter, Valerie (Ronald) Prothe, Garnett; her five sisters, Gail (Charlie) Carr, Linda White, Cindy (Robert) Parks, Mary (Daniel) Lamb, and Kim Prothe; three brothers in law, Norman Wall, Michael (Charlotte) Wall and Steven (Carol) Swader; two sisters in law, Cynthia Wall and Sheila Senn; twelve grandchildren, Mckenzie, Riley, Kaylie, Greggory, James, Michael, Cherish, Bethanie, Lawrence, Candace, April and Latisha; twelve great-grandchildren, Connor, Ivy, Aleki, Piper, Connor, Aiden, Ellie, Emmett, Serenity, Elena, Aria and Auroura; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral services for Marcina will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 30, at the Cross Road Community Church in Scranton, Kansas. Interment will follow at the Scranton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29 at Feltner Funeral Home in Lyndon, KS. Memorial contributions will be presented to the Osage County Historical Society, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home.
