Obituary

Lyndon - Lucretia "Corky" Basinger, 92, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at her home near Lyndon, Kansas. She was born November 10, 1933, in Meade, Kansas, the daughter of James and Violet Hinsdale.

Corky had lived near Lyndon for the last 20 years.

Corky had worked in banking for most of her life as a teller and in customer service.

Corky was united in marriage to Richard Basinger on December 24, 1949, in Meade, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard on April 14, 2024; and by her parents, James and Violet.

Corky is survived by her three children, Richard Basinger, Jr. of Lyndon, James Basinger of Joplin, Missouri and Lucretia Farland of Fairfield, California; by thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Corky will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, February 21 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be in the Vassar Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Corky may be made to the Johnson Cancer Research Center (based at Kansas State University) sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS 66451.
