Vassar - Lois Kay Whitcomb, 63, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at her home near Vassar, Kansas. She was born on October 12, 1960, in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Glenn and Janice (Yost) McFadden.

Lois had grown up in Ottawa and graduated from Ottawa High School in 1979. She had moved to Oklahoma for a time and then returned to Ottawa.

Lois had worked at a chicken plant in Oklahoma for several years and then had worked at McDonald's and Braum's.

Lois was preceded in death by her father, Glenn.

Lois is survived by her mother, Janice of Vassar; her son, Merle Montague of Vassar; her daughter, Rebeccah Hammond of Fairland, Oklahoma; her brother, Kenneth McFadden of Carbondale; her six grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Pomona. Feltner Funeral Home in Lyndon is assisting the family.
