Wichita - Lillie Jo Bayless, 73, formally from Lyndon, Kansas, passed away at her home in Wichita, Kansas, on Sunday, June 9, 2024, with loved ones by her side. She was born January 18, 1951, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph and Gail (Marshall) Hill.

Lillie was raised in Richland, Kansas and attended Shawnee Heights School District. She was a proud member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and had many memorable trips to South Dakota with her mother and daughter. Lillie worked as a bartender for several years in the Osage County area. She later worked in Home Health. She enjoyed birdwatching, planting flowers, listening to music, going to thrift stores, playing bingo with her friends from Southern Hills, and she never missed an episode of Young and the Restless. Her hobbies included drinking coffee, talking to strangers and grabbing butts.

Lillie is survived by her daughter, Lorie Jordan and husband Jason of Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Gail.

Following her wishes, she was cremated. A Celebration of Life for Lillie will be held on July 27, 2024, from 12:30 to 3:00 at Southern Hills Senior Residences 3305 E. 31st St. S. In Wichita. The family ask if you plan to attend consider bringing a non-perishable food item that will be donated to the Southern Hills food pantry in Lillie's memory.
