Osage City--Lillian Rose "Billie" Heilman, 92, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Peterson Assisted Living in Osage City, Kansas. She was born on March 6, 1929 in Lyndon, Kansas, the daughter of Maurice and Lillian Rose Hobbs.
Lillian grew up in Lyndon and graduated from Lyndon High School in 1947. She had lived in Lyndon and Melvern for most of her life and lived in Osage City for the last several years.
Lillian worked at Jostens in Topeka as a Purchasing Agent until her retirement. She was a member of the Melvern United Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary
On June 4, 1947 Lillian was united in marriage to Charles Heilmann in Lyndon.
Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, on January 23, 2017; by her parents, Maurice and Lillian; by her three brothers, Richard, Gerald and Malcom Hobbs; and by her two sisters, Patricia Yockey and Correne Bowman.
Lillian is survived by her two daughters, Karen West and Connie Masenthin, both of Osage City; by five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00pm on Sunday, May 2 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Private family inurnment will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery east of Melvern. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS. 66451.
