Obituary

Overbrook--Lavern Clark, 82, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at the Brookside Retirement Community in Overbrook, Kansas. She was born on August 15, 1937 in Trafford, Alabama, the daughter of Oscar and Lena Mae Holloway Crawford.

Lavern grew up in Alabama and had lived in Lakeland, Florida, Williamsburg, Missouri and then Lyndon.

Lavern was a homemaker, seamstress and had worked as a cook for the Osage County Jail for nearly 10 years. She was a member of TOPS and she enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens.

On February 14, 1966, Lavern was married to Phillip Clark in Valdosta, Georgia.

Lavern was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lena; her son, Eddie Drew; and her sister, Verla Mae Miller.

Lavern is survived by her husband, Phillip; her four children, Shelia Pate of Florida, Saxby "Rick" Mickler of Scranton, Deronda Cain of Tebbetts, Missouri and Verita Stumpe of St. Peters, Missouri; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Lavern will be at 12:00pm on Saturday, April 17 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until service time at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be to the American Heart Association, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS. 66451.
