Melvern--Laryl A. Privat, Sr., 79, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Sunset Manor in Waverly, Kansas. He was born on December 3, 1935 in Osage City, Kansas, the son of Russel and Louise Patterson Privat.

Laryl had lived most of his life in the Melvern community. He had worked for Reno Construction as a Driller and Blaster.

On May 27, 1967, Laryl was married to Barbara Sue Bell in Times Beach, Missouri. To this union thee sons were born.

Laryl was preceded in death by his parents; by his brother, Gary Privat and by his sister, Anita Casey.

Laryl is survived by his wife Barbara of the home; his three sons, Laryl "Larry" Privat, Jr. and wife Lori of Melvern, Russell "Rusty" Privat and wife Kimberly of Faucett, Missouri and Clifford Privat of Tecumseh, Nebraska; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Laryl will be at 7:00pm on Wednesday, September 9, at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until service time on Wednesday at the chapel.
