Obituary

Quenemo - Larry Blaine Harty, 73, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on April 19, 1952, in Emporia, Kansas, the son of Walter "Bud" and Glena (Renfro) Harty.
Larry had lived most of his life in Osage County or near the Lyndon community.
Larry worked for the railroad in Oklahoma, for Hallmark Cards, and he was shop foreman for Ned Hiatts Camper Sales. He worked at the Maintenance Department for the city of Lyndon and then worked as an officer for the Lyndon Police Department. He worked for Jim's Trailer Sales in Topeka and for the Pomona State Park.
Larry had a remarkable gift for fixing and building just about anything, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends and neighbors.
On July 30, 1994, Larry was united in marriage to Diana Tucker.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Glena; his paternal grandparents, Walter "DB" and Mabel Harty; and by his maternal grandparents, Truman and Frieda Renfro.
Larry is survived by his wife, Diana of 31 years; his two sons, Daniel (Ann) Harty of Wichita and Douglas (Courtney) Harty of Quenemo; by his daughter, Darci Harty (Casey Crane) of Ottawa; by his two sisters, Ginger (Ed) Warner of Lyndon and Peggy (Jim) Helms of Vassar; his nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; other relatives and friends.
The family will gather with friends for a visitation from 6:00 to 7:30pm on Friday, August 22 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Memorial contributions in memory of Larry may be made to Help House, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS 66451.
