Osage City - Larry Allen Douglas, 83, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Peterson's Assisted Living in Osage City, Kansas. He was born on November 19, 1940, in Neodesha, Kansas, the son of John William and Lorice (Ickles) Douglas.

Larry grew up in Neodesha where he attended the local high school. He later graduated from Independence Junior College.

Larry had worked all his adult life as a grocery store manager in many locations around eastern Kansas until settling in Osage City in 1987. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and bowling.

On June 11, 1961, Larry was united in marriage to Janet Sue Markley in Augusta, Kansas. To this union three daughters were born, Janette, Paula and Debbie.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Janet on May 2, 2019; by his parents, John William and Lorice; by his brother, John Douglas; and by his sister, Twyla Greer.

Larry is survived by his three daughters, Janette (Joe) Dreier of Olpe, Paula (Robert) Tomlinson of Osage City and Debbie Douglas of Wichita; by his four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Larry will be at 11:00am on Thursday, October 17 at the Neodesha City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 on Wednesday at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon.
