Melvern--Kimberly Jean Heuer, 37, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at her home in Lawrence, Kansas.  She was born on April 7, 1980 in Lawrence, the daughter of David and Stella Franks Heuer.
Kim had lived most of her life in the Melvern and Quenemo communities before moving to Lawrence.
Kim went to school at Hawthorne Elementary in Ottawa, Springfield School in Michigan City, Indiana and graduated from Marias des Cygnes Valley High School in Melvern in 1999.  In the last few years she had been sick and had battled health and medical conditions.  She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Michigan City.
Kim is survived by her son, Joseph Heuer of Melvern; her parents, David and Stella Heuer of Melvern; her three sisters, Michelle Stroud of Olathe, Alicia Syens of Lebo and Nevada Forrer of Topeka; seven nieces and five nephews.
Memorial services for Kim will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 2nd at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon.  The family will receive friends one half hour prior to services at the chapel.  Inurnment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Pomona.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Kim Heuer Memorial Fund, for final expenses, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS. 66451.
