Melvern - Kevin Wade Orear, 64, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, near Lebo, Kansas. He was born on May 12, 1957, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Keith and Joyce (Haynes) Orear.

Kevin grew up in Melvern where he attended the Melvern Schools. He had lived in Lyndon for a time before moving back to Melvern.

Kevin worked as a Track Hoe Operator in construction for many years and was a member of the Local #101 Operating Engineers.

Kevin was married to Deb Walters in 1977 in Melvern. They later divorced. He was married to Tammy Sue Orear in 1993, they later divorced.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Joyce.

Kevin is survived by his daughter, Dessie Orear of Chicago; his three brothers, Marlin (Christine) Orear of Melvern, Rusty (Adeana) Orear of Halsted and Chris Orear of Melvern; and two nephews and a niece.

Memorial services for Kevin will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, April 21 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until service time. Inurnment will be in the Melvern Cemetery at a later date.
