Obituary

Osage City--Kenneth H. Lippert, 73, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Peterson's Nursing Home in Osage City, Kansas.  He was born on June 14, 1943 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Harlan and Bertha Pankratz Lippert.
Ken grew up in Lyndon and had lived in Wichita for a time before moving back to rural Osage City in 1979.
Ken graduated from Lyndon High School and received an Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science.  He worked as a Custom Cutter for 4 years, worked 8 years as a Funeral Director and Embalmer for Crable Funeral Home in Osage City, then 7 years for the Metropolitan Topeka Airport Authority in Topeka as a Police Officer and Firefighter and then 12 years for the Osage County Sheriff's Department as an Undersheriff and Sheriff.  He had served as a 4-H Leader for 15 years and was a member of the Kansas Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association.
On October 16, 1970 Ken was married to Janet Alexander in Wichita, Kansas.  Ken was preceded in death by Jan on July 31, 2011.
Ken is survived by his daughter, Retta (Marty) Evans of Hoover, Alabama; his brother, Ray Lippert of Lyndon; and a grandson, Zachary Evans of Hoover, Alabama.
Funeral services for Ken will be at 10:30am on Saturday, October 22 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon.  Burial will be in the Osage City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:30pm on Friday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Osage County 4-H, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, Kansas, 66451.
