Lyndon – Kenneth Ray Allison, 72, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at his home in Lyndon, Kansas. He was born May 23, 1949 near Lyndon, the son of H. Gerald and Betty (Davis) Allison.
Ken had lived near Lyndon for most of his life and had graduated from Lyndon High School in 1967.
Ken had been a Farmer and Rancher. He enjoyed fishing, working outdoors and eagle watching at Pomona Lake. Most importantly though, was spending time with family and friends.
On February 25, 1968, Ken was married to Katherine Persinger at the Zion Lutheran Church in Vassar, Kansas. To this union two daughters were born, Tara and Brooke.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Betty; and a brother, Dean Allison.
Ken is survived by his wife, Katherine of 53 years; his two daughters, Tara Emerson and husband Mitch of Peoria, Arizona and Brooke Bird and husband Sean of Rossville, Kansas; his brother, Brian Allison of Melvern, Kansas; four grandchildren, Christopher Bird and wife Shelby, Alex Bird, all of Rossville, Kansas and Mackenzie and Marcus Emerson of Peoria, Arizona; and two great-grandchildren, Garrett and Kendra Bird.
Per Ken's wishes, he will be cremated and no services will held. Inurnment at the Vassar Cemetery will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Midland Hospice Care, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS 66451.
