Melvern - Karen Ann Braidich Ladehoff passed away January 25, 2024 at the age of 76. Born March 10, 1947 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of William Braidich & Anna Schultz Braidich.

Karen grew up in Grand Island, NY. After graduating high school she & her sister, Mary, moved to Chicago, IL for employment opportunities. There she was employed by Santa Fe Railroad & then by Northwestern Railroad for several years.

In 1990 she took a job with American Express that moved her to Jacksonville, FL. Shortly after, the company moved her to Kernersville, NC where she spent several

years.

In 2006 Karen took an early retirement & moved to Melvern, KS to be near family. In August of 2006 she went back to work & was employed by the Osage County Clerk's office.

Karen took full retirement in 2013.

Throughout her life she was very talented & enjoyed doing all sorts of crafts; quilting, crocheting & needlepoint. She loved sharing her skills & talent, almost as much as she loved her dogs, which were her best friends. Karen was a person that did so much for others & enjoyed helping people anyway she could, especially through donating her crafts.

Karen was preceded in death by her sister Mary Braidich Jaron in March of 2020. She was survived by her niece Danielle Dillon (Mike), Valerie & Gavin, her nephew Vince Jaron (Lauren) & Wesley, as well as many cousins & friends.

Private family services were held and inurnment has taken place in the Melvern Cemetery.
