Lyndon--Juanita Basinger, 78, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at her home near Lyndon, Kansas. She was born on February 3, 1942 in Spear, Texas, the daughter of Ted Daily and Mona Winchell.
Juanita had lived in Lawrence for several years and had lived near Lyndon for the last 20 years.
Juanita worked for Kansas Color Press as a machine operator until retiring and then she had been Owner and Promoter of Dragoon Motocross Park north of Lyndon. She was a member of the Michigan Valley Community Church.
On April 28, 1977, Juanita was married to Richard Basinger in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Richard, of the home; her son, Steve Herschell of Great Bend; her two daughters, Susan Butcher of Osage City and Sandra Adams of Lawrence; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Juanita will be at 10:30am on Friday, August 21 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Burial will be in the Vassar Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:00pm on Thursday at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juanita Basinger Memorial Fund, to be designated later, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home.
