Overbrook--JoAnn Mae Hanner, 82, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Brookside Retirement Community in Overbrook. She was born on December 17, 1933 the daughter of Ralph and Mae Dougan Richwine in St. Joseph, Missouri.
JoAnn grew up in St. Joe and had lived in the Overbrook community for the last 45 years. She worked at O'Bryhim's Thriftway in Overbrook as a Inventory Manager for many years.
On May 2, 1953, JoAnn was married to Gene Hanner in St. Joseph, Missouri.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband Gene on February 3, 2016; by a granddaughter, Mariah Lehrbach by her parents, Ralph and Mae; and by two brothers, George Richwine and Ralph Richwine.
JoAnn is survived by her two sons, Ron Hanner of Overbrook and David Hanner of Osage City; her two daughters, Patricia Ficklin of Tecumseh and Cynthia Wagner of Carbondale; her brother, Don Richwine of Oregon; her two sisters, Dorothy Mufich of Napa, California and Joyce Metzger of Meriden; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for JoAnn will be at 3:00pm on Sunday, April 3 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until service time. Inurnment will be in the Valley Brook Cemetery south of Overbrook.
