Osage City--Janice Wright, 86, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Diversacare Healthcare in Council Grove, Kansas. She was born on November 23, 1932 in Osage City, Kansas, the daughter of John and Eva Ricca Martin,
Janice had lived all of her life in Osage City, where she graduated from Osage City High School. She had worked at the Supply Depot at Forbes Field. She also helped take care of many children over the years. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Altar Society and was a Girl Scout Leader for several years.
On December 14, 1950, Janice was married to Norman Wright in Osage City. Norman preceded her in death on December 12, 2016.
Janice is survived by her two children, Pam (Aaron) May of Osage City and John (Tina Marie) Wright of Phoenix, Arizona; her sister-in-law, Nadine Archer of Olathe; her three grandchildren, Courtney (AJ) Moncrief, Bryan (Megan) May and Tatum Wright; her four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Janice will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, December 28, at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm until service time on Friday. Inurnment will be in the Osage City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Janice Wright Memorial Fund, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS. 66451.
