LYNDON
Lyndon - Jamison Charles Tevis, 42, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. He was born on June 23, 1981, in Garden City, Kansas, the son of Bruce Tevis and Marcia Feltner.
Jamie had lived most of his life in the Lyndon community. He graduated from Lyndon High School in 2000.
Jamie worked many jobs through the years but was owner and operator of Tevis Plumbing and Construction for the last 10 years. He played football at Pittsburg State and St. Mary's College in Leavenworth. Jamie was an avid hunter, loved fishing, and working on and building motorcycles. He had been a mixed martial arts fighter for several years and he was always a champion of the underdog. His last step was to be an organ donor HERO.
Jamie has been a pain in the ass to Francie Worthing for the last 19 years. But, she still loved him.
Jamie was preceded in death by his brother, Jeremiah "Miah" Tevis, on October 2, 2004; and his dad, Bruce Tevis.
Jamie is survived by, who should have been his wife, Francie Worthing of the home; his mom and stepdad, Marcy and Kelly Dorr of Kansas City, Kansas; his three dogs, June, Moose, and Mogen David; his stepbrother, Scott (Ashley) Dorr of Lyndon; his stepsister, Missy (Jason) Krause of Melvern; his step grandmother, Kilena Dorr of Osage City; other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Life for Jamie will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 15, at the Mt. Pleasant Community Church, southeast of Lyndon. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made payable to the Jamison Tevis Memorial Fund (for a Lyndon High School VoTech scholarship).
