Osage City - James Richard Reisinger, 72, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at K.U. Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on November 21, 1951, in Onaga, Kansas, the son of Paul and Helen (Hinrichsen) Reisinger.

Jim, as he was known to all, grew up in Havensville and graduated from Onaga High School in 1970. He had lived most of his life in the Topeka community until moving to Osage City last year.

Jim had worked at Goodyear Tire in Topeka for over 36 years until his retirement in 2007. He was a member of the United Rubber Workers Local 307. Jim enjoyed scary movies and going out to eat. But more than that, he enjoyed hanging out with family.

On March 26, 1979, Jim was married to Carol (Whitegon) Allen in Miami, Oklahoma.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, on October 25, 1996; by his parents, Paul and Helen; by his two brothers, Fred Reisinger and Jerry Reisinger; and by his sister, Patricia Breitschwerdt.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Julie (Tim) McLaughlin of Lyndon; his brother, Tim (Kate) Reisinger of Onaga; his two grandsons, Trey (Kasey) Todd of Lyndon and Nathaniel (Casey) McLaughlin of Kingsville, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00pm on Friday, October 11, at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. At 2:00pm, they will proceed to Prairie Home Cemetery in Topeka for committal services.
