Obituary

Quenemo--Harold W. Meneley, 94, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Ottawa Retirement Village in Ottawa, Kansas. He was born on August 5, 1923 in Maxon, Kansas, the son of J.C. and Eva Kimes Meneley.
Harold had lived most of his life in and around the Melvern and Quenemo communities.
Harold graduated from Melvern High School. He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Topeka until his retirement in 1983. He also farmed the family farm near Melvern where he spent countless hours and loved so much. He was a member of the Quenemo Baptist Church.
Harold was married to Helen Jones in 1946 in Melvern. She preceded him in death on February 2, 1988. He married Virginia Meneley, she preceded him in death. He married Harriet Sneed in 1999, she preceded him in death in 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Meneley.
Harold is survived by his three daughters, Sharon McHenry of Warsaw, Missouri, Sandy McDonald of Ottawa and Shirley Funk of Richwood, Texas; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Harold will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 7 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Burial will be in the Melvern Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30am until service time on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Melvern Community Center, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS. 66451.
