OSAGE CITY – Gerry "Gerry Lou" Louise Seyler, 61, departed this life on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Midland Hospice in Topeka, Kansas. She was born March 2, 1959 in Ottawa, Kansas the daughter of Jerry Dale and Dorothy Louise (Mignot) Seyler. She grew up in Wellsville, Kansas and graduated from Wellsville High School in 1977. After high school, Gerry served in the United States Army and was Honorably discharged on April 24, 1980.

In Gerry's early years of growing up, she spent a lot of time at her grandparents, Tom and Helen Seyler's home in Le Loup, Kansas. Gerry has lived outside of Lyndon, Kansas for almost thirty years and currently had been living in Osage City for the last six years. She spent most of her working life co-owning and operating the Smoke Shak in Lyndon, Kansas with her father, Jerry. She always enjoyed a good conversation and good laughs with her loyal patrons.

Gerry enjoyed watching her Kansas City Chiefs, playing cards, dominoes and board games. When she had some down time, she could be found watching her favorite Sci-Fi and Western movies or listening to her favorite bands. She had much appreciation for nature and found peace and comfort sitting in the sun, camping and fishing. Most of all, Gerry loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her spirit and love will be expressed in their daily lives forever.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Seyler; her brother Nathan Bradley "Brad" Seyler and sister-in-law, Lisa Seyler.

Gerry is survived by her daughter Casey Renai Wiley (Nick) of Lyndon, Kansas; father, Jerry Dale Seyler of Osage City, Kansas; brother, Thomas Emery Seyler (Sally) of Paola, Kansas; and four grandchildren, Emma, Jada, Alina and Logan.

A celebration of Gerry's life will be held at a later date. When Gerry's family decides on date and a time of service, it will be posted.
